Favorite Watercolor Art Supplies!
Updated: Jul 11, 2019
Hi everyone, and welcome back to my blog. In this post I figured I would do something a little bit different and share some of my favorite watercolor art supplies that I like to use. I figured other artists would enjoy this as well as some of you who may just be curious as to what supplies I use. I will be posting the link to where you can purchase each one below. Please let me know if you have any questions. Now let's get to the art supplies! ⬇️
1. Jane Davenport Watercolor Palette: I have two of these one of them is the brights palette and the other one is the neutral palette. I love these! They have such vibrant colors! If you paint with watercolor whether it's professional or just for fun I highly recommend getting at least one. These can be purchased on amazon, Michaels, or JaneDavenport.com. I think when I purchased my first one it was from Michaels. I always use a coupon when I go. So, I'm pretty sure it didn't cost me much.

2.Strathmore 400 Series Watercolor Paper: I've found that this is one of my favorite brands of watercolor paper to use. It is very durable and it comes in a variety of sizes. I usually get mine from Amazon or Michaels.
3.Strathmore Ready Cut Watercolor Paper: Aside from the Strathmore 400 series. I also love their ready cut watercolor paper. Like the 400 series it is very durable. But they currently only have it available in 5x7, 8x10, and 11x14. I really hope that it will be available in more sizes in the future. I've purchased this paper on Amazon and Jerry's Artarama.
4. Winsor And Newton Ink: I love using this ink for outlining in my watercolor paintings.
They are a great way to highlight different areas in a pieces of art or make a piece stand out. I've tried a couple other inks and I haven't found one that I like more than this one. I use the
the gold and silver. I've only found these on Amazon and Jerry's Artarama. The cheapest place to get it is on Amazon.
5.Dr. Ph Martin Hydrus Watercolors: I have the first set of these. They are really vibrant colors. You can either use them out of the bottle or add water to them. There are three sets of these. They are kind of expensive. But if you have coupon for Michaels for catch them on sale. I think they are worth the price.
6.Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolor Paints: These are my favorite tube watercolor paints to use. Some of my favorite colors to use are Indigo and Amethyst. I love how in their genuine series of paints they use real stone to create the colors. So the Ameythst is very sparkly. I've only ordered these through Jerry's Artarama and Dick Blick.
7. Princeton Art Brushes: These are just a couple brushes that I decided to order on Amazon and I ended up loving them! I only have two right now but I will purchase more in the future. I highly recommend them and they are really great quality for the price.
Sending you all lots of love and positive energy,
