My Trip To Houston
Updated: Jul 11, 2019
Hi everyone. Yes, it's been a few months I think since my last post. If you follow me on social media then you probably already know that last month in November I went to Houston, Texas for the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation's Dream And Promise award benefit. Because they commissioned me to paint two paintings for the event to give out as awards to two recipients. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and it was great meeting other survivors. It was nothing but good vibes all around. My Mom is the one who went with me and I can't thank her enough. During our trip, we did come across a bump in the road. The elevator didn't work where we were staying so we decided to go down the stairs five flight I must add. Once down in the lobby my Mom realized she had her pillowcase but not her pillow. She went to find it and it fell out on the 5th floor.
We just laughed it off. Because we know things like these are usually a blessing in disguise and plus it was Mercury Retrograde.
While in Houston I also went to Jerry's Artarama for the first time! Since there's not one in the whole Dallas/Fort Worth area. I loved the store and I got some great art supplies. Yes, Michaels and Hobby Lobby are great. But Jerry's Artarama if you are reading this we need one in the Dallas area! Everything I purchased is pictured below. It was a great trip overall!
Shoutout to my Amazing Mom Rachel Barnes and to the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation for commissioning me and having me at the event!
Sending you all lots of love and positive energy,
